The system combines a prefabricated wall and ceiling structure with HEPA H14 filtration and an integrated monitoring controller that reports differential pressure, temperature, humidity and particle counts to the surgeon control panel every five seconds.

Hospital engineering teams have traditionally verified operating theatre cleanliness during commissioning and annual re-qualification, leaving long intervals in which a drifting pressure differential or a partially loaded filter can go unnoticed.
